Cosmetic surgery offers the choice to change, restore or enhance the appearance of your body through highly refined surgical and medical techniques. Skin and underlying tissue are reconstructed to improve and correct a structural defect or to remove a scar, birthmark, or normal evidence of ageing.
CAER offers Cosmetic Surgery for a wide range of procedures.
Margaret Strick has particular skills in the following areas of Cosmetic Surgery:
Lines and wrinkles develop around the face over time and cause us to look older than we feel. CAER Aesthetics provides the expert medical care to smooth lines and refresh tired skin without surgery.
There is an art to the effective use of injectables. Our experienced Aesthetic doctors are trusted to achieve completely natural results. The effect is radiance – you look refreshed, not obviously injected.
All our procedures can be carried out under local anaesthetic block and can be, consequently, pain free
Wrinkle relaxing injections are an approved and effective method of safely and temporarily smoothing frowns and furrows to restore a more refreshed, relaxed appearance.
Wrinkle relaxing injectionsinjections can also be used to effectively treat hyperhydrosis, excessive sweating which affects hands, underarms forehead and feet.
Dermal fillers are natural injectable substances which are used to smooth wrinkles and scars, and enhance lips. The effect is instant.
Using small amounts of filler, facial furrows are minimised, texture is improved and, as a result, your face has a softer, more youthful appearance.
Alpha hydroxy acids (AHA) have been used for thousands of years to make rejuvenating skin products.
Used in peels, AHAs exfoliate the skins cells reducing unevenness and fine wrinkles and improving skin moisture and tone. The result is refreshed and younger-looking skin.
Fractora is the most advanced method available of resurfacing the skin; stimulating the dermis to produce collagen and elastin and resulting in improvements to skin tone, texture and radiance.
Caer Aesthetics brings you the first treatment of its kind in Scotland. Fractora and new Fractora Firm target the broadest range of symptoms of ageing skin.
The wonder of plastic surgery is the possibility of building skin and tissue to reconstruct damaged areas of the body. The skill of the reconstructive surgeon lies in working at microscopic level with nerves and vessels to restore form and function to damaged bodies.
At CAER your consultant Plastic and Reconstructive surgeon Margaret Strick has a particular commitment to reconstructive surgery, continually refining her practise across all aspects of this super-skilled field. She offers three particular areas of expertise:
Breast reconstructive surgery following mastectomy, using free flaps or implants:
Reconstructive hand surgery concerns the repair and functionality of the hand following trauma or associated with the following:
Cosmetically sensitive reconstruction following the excision of skin cancers.
The following procedures are used:
Following the launch of the new InMode combined RF and LASER machine at the FACE conference in London in June 2013 we are delighted to announce the purchase of SCOTLAND’S FIRST INMODE PLATFORM. INMODE will revolutionise the aesthetics space.
This combines all the available RF (radiofrequency) applications we already offer, namely FRACTORA and the newly renamed FORMA (Fractora Firm) together with the most powerful self-cooling laser yet available for hair removal (DYOLASE) and an advanced, cooling, painless IPL laser for treatment of skin pigmentation/age spots (LUMECCA).
We are now able to offer all InMode treatments in Glasgow and Ayrshire and are the first in Scotland to do so.
Nicola Willis was a speaker at the international FACE conference this year, London 21-23 June. She shared her experience of the first year of treating clients in the West of Scotland with FRACTORA for skin resurfacing and FORMA (previously FRACTORA FIRM) thermal contraction therapy.
Her results, demonstrated to the enthusiastic conference audience have met with the highest possible praise and endorsement by Invasix, developers of the revolutionary platform
Nicola is a trainer for Wigmore Medical who distribute the Inmode platform in this country, and will be heavily involved in the launch of this new technology UK wide.
